It is Week 2 of our Digital Learning Days and I hope everyone is settling into a manageable routine! It is way too quiet at my house without my 614 little ones!! I am going to share an activity each week just in case you need more ideas for keeping your families busy. :-) The Instructional Technology Department sent out a tweet yesterday and challenged students to build the tallest tower they could. The book featured in this post is a great read aloud to go with the challenge. To listen to the story being read aloud, click here. Happy building!
Digital Learning Days pose all sorts of possibilities and problems. We are excited to share as many resources as we can, but we don't want to overwhelm families! Please feel free to do what you can and don't worry about the rest. This is a new experience for everyone. Grading will be flexible in this environment. Teaching and learning will be flexible. Thank you to our "Rock Star" students, staff, and community for working together through this journey!
Jerry Shepler was recognized as the Rocky Mount Volunteer of the Year at a celebration luncheon on March 5th. Mr. Jerry volunteers at the Welcome Desk every Monday and Friday morning that school is in session. Mr. Jerry is the great-grandfather of one of our fourth grade students. We are very happy that he is willing to donate his time to Rocky Mount! Thank you, Mr. Jerry!
